Photo Dienstleister ORWO Net profits from digital photography
The Fotodienstleister ORWO Net[1 ] from Wolfen sees itself established after the restart before approximately eight Monaten[2 ] at the market. For this year investments are planned into the technical equipment of the photo laboratory by several hundredthousand euro. The enterprise expects a rise with the conversion by 25 per cent, calls however no concrete numbers. September 2003 the failure gone PixelNet AG and its daughter ORWO Media GmbH had been bought to in the middle of by a German group of investors. Main investor is the IGB holding company Saxonia-Anhalt (Magdeburg). The enterprise began the business on 1 October 2003. ORWO Net develops and produces photos both from conventional films and from digital data. The customer material comes over the post office way or the InterNet to Wolfen. The finished photos are sent away by post office. The company co-operates also with the computer manufacturer LINTEC information Technologies AG (Taucha with Leipzig). Beside the pictures also the orders for other articles rise. In addition belong cups, t-Shirts and Mousepads, which will provide with photos and labels.
